Saturday, October 4th, 10am to 7pm. “It’s Country Ham Time” in your own backyard of Spring Hill. Celebrate the 5th annual John Maher Builders Spring Hill Country Ham Festival at The Tennessee Children’s Home; enter off Kedron Road. Admission is $5 a car load in the parking lot, or at the ticket booth, admission is $3 a person, kids 12 and under are free.
Our family friendly festival features Pig Racing staring Loretta Loin, Squeely Nelson, and Shania Swine. Races are scheduled for 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm, thanks to our newest sponsor Tri Star Health System.
Satisfy your family’s appetites with some of the South’s tastiest fare at the food court sponsored by The Rotary Club of Spring Hill.
Your children and their friends will spend hours of fun in our Kids Zone sponsored by Williamson Medical Center where they’ll romp, play, jump, and see the finest animals at the petting zoo. Play old-fashioned games and see Crafts Demonstrations throughout the day.
Thanks to our Ham sponsor, Early’s Country Hams, you’ll taste the best Country Ham made in your hometown of Spring Hill, TN. Enjoy their ham with biscuits baked by your local Krogers. Cure your own hams, then bring ‘em down and enter them in our Ham Competition sponsored by Community South. Don’t miss the Ham Walk scheduled for 11am, 12pm, 3pm, 4pm, and 5pm. Award winning hams will be displayed during the festival. Learn the art of curing Country Hams to enter into next year’s festival.
All our sports enthusiasts won’t miss a minute of their favorite football games at the Pig Pen sponsored by Charter Communications. And Remax will be on site with tethered hot air balloon rides to celebrate our festival in style!
Our Musical lineup is packed with solid performers all day long including Irish Dancers, Local Singers, and our returning West coast blues great, AC Myles who begins our main show at 5pm.His act is reminiscent of greats in the taste of Stevie Ray Vaugh, Rory Gallager and Eric Clapton. Then our headliner on stage at 6pm is Fletcher, a dynamic sibling threesome who’s down home rocking blue collar, butt-kicking country delivers beautiful sibling harmonies. A must see! When the music is done, we’ll end the day with a spectacular fireworks display sponsored by our friends at Maury Regional Hospital and Spring Hill Imaging Center.
