Free Plays for Kids
Our drama group, Kidz Kompany,sponsored by the Friends of the Library, is putting on back to back performances on Saturday, March 14. At 10 a.m. they will present “Hats,” and at 11 a.m. they present “Acting Up.” Their enthusiasm is contagious, and their talents are inspiring. Bring your children for a fun morning enjoying live performers.
Breast Cancer Awareness Support Group
If you are a breast cancer survivor or a family member or friend of a breast cancer survivor, join us at the library for our first meeting on Thursday, March 19 at 5:30 p.m. Contact Janice, here at the Library, for more information (931/486-2932).
Is Hormone Replacement Therapy For You?
As seen on Oprah, come and learn how your hormones may be affecting your health. This one hour seminar, on Saturday, March 28, at 10 a.m., presented by Dr. Richard Aballay, will introduce you to your hormones and how to get them balanced using Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement.
Help with Your Taxes
If you are a senior or have an annual income less than $42,000 you are eligible for free tax assistance at our library. We have trained volunteers from VITA here Wednesday and Friday mornings. Call or come in to make an appointment.
Night Owls
The evening book club, The Night Owls, has returned to the library. They meet the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Read to our Therapy Dog
Sign up your beginning reader to read aloud to Tig, our therapy dog. He’s available for 15-minute sessions on Monday mornings. Call or sign up at the front desk. We now limit sign-ups to twice a month so there are more openings for new readers.
Story Time
Get your preschooler in on the fun every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10 a.m. for stories, songs, and an age-appropriate craft. Starting Monday, March 16, we will also have Story Time on Mondays. No sign up necessary.
