The Columbia/MTSU Affiliate Office of the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) honor Keith Slemp, as an SBA Rising Star. The SBA Rising Star program highlights entrepreneurs for successfully growing their business.

Pictured, left to right are Keith Slemp, owner of Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) of Murfreesboro and CBA of Spring Hill, Patricia McClanahan, Small Business Specialist with the Columbia Affiliate Office of the TSBDC, and Gene Osekowsky, MTSU Center Coordinator of the TSBDC.

Mr. Slemp has demonstrated tenacity in the automotive industry having worked for different companies in the industry for over thirty-five years. He has owned his own successful family business in the Nashville area for the last seven years. Keith’s customers have responded positively to being treated in a professional manner with integrity. The business has grown in sales and revenue. Keith and his team successfully launched CBA of Spring Hill, Tennessee in 2009 in a slow economy when others were shutting down and laying off employees.

CBA sets itself apart from competitors by offering quality automotive services and clean waiting rooms with attractive furnishings that appeal to women. Between sixty and sixty-five percent of CBA Murfreesboro and CBA Spring Hill customers are women. Women are a huge, and growing, consumer market that CBA is serving with distinction. Congratulations to the CBA team for successfully rising to the challenge of growing a business in a slow economy and serving customers with distinction.
