The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) presented Certificates of Recognition to three Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputies at the May 9, 2011 County Commission meeting. Deputies Brad Fann, Kevin Jones and Mark Livengood were honored for their role in the arrest of bank robber Stacey Lamont Potts in November of 2010. The deputies received the certificates from FBI Supervisory Special Agent Randall Bechtel and Special Agent Brian Fazenbaker.

Deputies Fann and Jones function as part of a “flex team” whose job is to provide additional enforcement for any trends of crime identified in the county, such as methamphetamine labs or home burglaries. Corporal Livengood is a patrol supervisor.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the need for supporting other agencies, as in this instance. Sheriff Jeff Long says the quality of deputies in Sheriff’s Office is reflected in the results of their efforts. He further stated that interagency cooperation is essential to the department’s law enforcement mission in Williamson County.
